We'll open with a quick congratulations to s BJ's New Voices under 30 class of 2022 that will be recognized at a ceremony in New York City tonight. This fourth annual class brings a new energy and spirit to the sports industry, and these 30 individuals under the age of 30 are being recognized for their impact, accomplishments, and potential. Here's to a fun celebration for all of those tonight in New York. Good morning. It's Wednesday, November 16th. This is your SJ Morning Buzz cast. I'm David Albright, filling in for a Mad Corps. New York City officials have reached an agreement to build the city's first professional soccer stadium, which will be the centerpiece of a giant mixed use development that would transform an underutilized waterfront section of Queens. New York City Football Club's. New 25,000 seat stadium is slated to be built by 2027 in the Willits Point neighborhood of Queens across the street from the right field.

Foul pole of City Field Stadium would be the first significant major league sports venue to be built in the city since 2012 and is set to be the focal point of a 23 acre project that includes a 250 room hotel and 2,500 units of housing. City officials said subsidies for this project are largely limited to infrastructure improvements at the site and property tax breaks for the stadium. And the soccer team will pay for the entire construction of the stadium, which is estimated to cost 780 million. New York City owns the land on which the stadium and housing will be built and will lease it to the soccer team. Over the course of the 49 year lease, the team will ultimately pay rent of up to 4 million per year to lease the land for the stadium. The team will have an option for a 25 year extension. US Soccer and Legends agreed to a multi-year extension of their retail partnership, which dates back to 2018.

Specific terms of the deal, were not available, but a legend spokesperson said the deal extends well beyond the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America. Legends will continue as the provider for all US soccer store experiences, both online and at events. The renewal follows legends, recent redesign of US Soccer's online store, which is presented by Visa in addition to online sales. Legends operates retail experiences at all official US soccer events including the Visa fan Studio mobile unit that is deployed at US Men's and Women's National team matches. Plans for the partnership include the rollout of a new version of the Visa fan studio featuring interactive fan engagement experiences. First look product drops and a larger product selection. Warner Brothers Discovery Sports laid off dozens of staffers on Tuesday. Around 70 people lost their jobs in a round of across the board cuts that affected Turner Sports Bleacher Report in the company's studio operations in Atlanta.

Most of the layoffs came from Turner Sports and Bleacher Report staffers all told W BD sports cut a little more than 10% of its workforce counting both people that were let go and open positions that will remain unfilled. An email sent to employees W BD Sports Chair and CEO Lewis Silver Wasser said that the unit needed to make the cuts to stay competitive in the sports media marketplace. His message was clear. It was a tough decision made amid a larger industry trend of cutbacks. It appears that Warner Brothers Discovery Sports still will be active when it comes to negotiating for available sports rights. That's according to our John Rand and the onscreen programming quality is not expected to suffer. As a result of these cuts. Fox Drew 29.2 million viewers for Cowboys Packers in the Sunday NFL National Window in week 10. Marking the best game of the season to date reports our Austin Carp.

That audience figure tops the previous season high, which was 27.4 million viewers for Bengals Cowboys on CBS in week two. Cowboys Packers is also now in the top 15 most washed telecast of the entire year. Fox will get a chance to top that number soon when it airs. Giants Cowboys on Thanksgiving in the 4:30 PM Eastern window, which is expected to bring a season high audience for the nfl. Meanwhile, the NFL said it's Seahawk's Buccaneers game from Germany on Sunday averaged 5.8 million viewers on NFL Network marketing a new record for an international game on the channel. Sunday's number is just above the 5.5 million who watched Giants Packers from London earlier this season, which also was a record. Sunday's game is the third time this season. NFL Network has set a new mark for an international game sports betting network vs. Will double its terrestrial radio reach through a distribution deal with Goo Media and its branded Sports Map, syndicated radio network making vs.
