Greetings from New York where the CAA World Congress of Sports gets underway today at the Time Center in Manhattan, the two day event remains the largest and most prestigious sports business conference in North America. In a typical year, the s BJ hosted event draws more than 700 attendees. The program addresses the business of sports from the perspective of the industry's top executives, and this year's list of speakers is no exception. Attendees will hear from the likes of MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred, mls, Commissioner Don Garber, NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman, N wsl, Commissioner Jessica Berman, NASCAR President Steve Phelps, fanatic CEO Michael Rubin, Fox Sports CEO Eric Shanks, and UFC President Dana White. It's Tuesday, October 11th, and this is your s BJ Morning Buzz cast. I'm David Albright filling in for a Abe Madkour. The NHL is back to normal with the regular season stretching from October through the middle of April before the two month thrill ride. That is the chase for the Stanley Cup. Over that time, teams are scheduled to play a total of 1,312 games over 189 days, which actually started with Nashville and San Jose facing off for two games in pro last weekend. The biggest increases in Cincinnati where the Bengals games are up 33% averaging 280,000 homes in the Cincinnati dma. Remember, these are homes, not viewers.

The viewer number would be higher. The bills and lions are tied for the second highest jump, both at 23%. The bills are averaging 290,000 buffalo homes and the lions are averaging 394,000 in the Detroit market. The steepest decline is in Los Angeles, where the Chargers are down 29% to 362,000 homes. The biggest local audience so far is in Dallas, where Cowboys Games average 753,000 homes. That's up 6% Bears Games in 740,000 homes in Chicago and Eagles games in 739,000 Philly homes.
